Neutral Wedding Flowers with a Pop of Bright Color for this LA Wedding

Diana + Chris' wedding last August at The Fig House in Los Angeles, CA was truly gorgeous. At first they wanted to start with a neutral pastel palette, tones of blush, white, tan, peach and light yellow and then decided to bring in a pop of coral for a fun summer twist. I think the accent of a bright color totally made their color palette! What do you think?

By adding in a more contrasting color it really gave the arrangements more depth as you can see here in her bouquet. Some times color palettes with one or two color notes can photograph really flat. So even with an all white wedding I usually suggest to my couples that we add in a muted blush in the background of their designs to help brake up the white on white on white to create this contrast and depth.

These coral dahlias were the perfect pop of color to go along with the more neutral roses, delphinium, scabiosa, and cosmos.

While Diana's bridal bouquet had no greenery in it, we filled out her bridesmaids bouquets with accents of green to help tie them in to the ceremony arrangements.

This deconstructed arch was built foam free and filled with large focal flowers and dainty wild flowers to create lots of texture. Since it was August and I knew heat would be an issue (it was 90+ degrees during setup 🥵) I made sure the more delicate flowers had a water source and paired them with hardy roses and carnations, the perfect Summer flowers.

The deconstructed arch was the perfect design for the space so the flowers didn't compete with the existing tree/greenery. Had we done a traditional arch, flowers across the to might have gotten lost in the pepper tree.

And then after the ceremony we were able to easily move the arch for the reception tables to be setup.

The tables will filled with multiple small ikebana inspired arrangements and clusters of pillar candles and votives to help complete the look and bring a romantic light to the design as the sun went down on their warm outdoor summer wedding.

The tablescape with it's light blush elements made the whole design look cohesive and elegant, and I love that we went with colored candles just to add some additional interest and keep the look soft and not too contrasting!
