Longing to travel and inspired by the colors of the Amalfi Coast we created an Italian inspired elopement right here on the beach in San Diego for a couple who had postponed their big 2021 wedding.
I had the chance to work with renowned Italian photographer Rochelle Cheever to bring a bit of Italy here during Quarantine last year to help our engaged couples dream up ways to incorporate parts of Europe here at home.
From vespas to pasta and caprese salads, this shoot truly transported us to Positano, Italy.
This garden style bridal bouquet pulled in the peach from our color palette inspiration and was filled with Spring's best blooms: garden roses, butterfly ranunculus, spirea, and clematis. We paired it with a long flowing silk ribbon from The Lesser Bear and two floral ground arrangements to create a romantic and intentional space for their ceremony.
After the couple had an intimate reception for two with a romantic setup filled with the most important thing at an Italian wedding: FOOD! and of course, for me at least, flowers.
And with full hearts, and even fuller bellies, they rode off into their happily ever after on a flower bombed Vespa of course (because what could be more fitting for an Italian themed wedding? )
In 2022 and 2023 I hope to do more destination weddings, so if anyone is looking for a Florist for their European wedding this year please do not hesitate to reach out!
Discounted destinations include: Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Malta and Greece. And if you're in need of a destination photographer or coordinator I have a great list of colleagues that I'm excited to work with soon.
Ci vediamo presto! Ciaoooo
