Flower Filled San Diego Micro Wedding

ree

There’s something undeniably romantic about a micro wedding. An intimate guest list, your closest people, and a day designed around what you care about most. And for couples getting married in today’s economic climate, there’s another major perk: with fewer guests, you can do more with your decor, especially your flowers.

When you’re not feeding 150 people, your budget opens up in exciting ways. Instead of spreading your investment thin across dozens of place settings, tables, and party favors, you can pour your resources into creating the atmosphere you’ve always dreamed of. That’s where florals come in.

Florals are one of the most transformative elements of a wedding. They set the tone, create visual storytelling, and bring the entire day to life. With a smaller guest count, you can make intentional, high-impact design choices without compromising.

Imagine this:

  • A lush ceremony installation that doubles as the backdrop for your vows and your photos.

  • A full floral meadow down the aisle that can later be repupurpsed to your dance floor or base of your bar or cake table.

  • A wildly romantic tablescape filled with seasonal blooms, layered textures, and candles, instead of having to stretch your reception budget on centerpieces across twenty tables.

  • Personal floral touches like custom bouquets, wearable florals, and even floral styling details for flatlays and signage; little things that add up to big magic.

We’re not talking about going overboard. We’re talking about thoughtful, abundant design that reflects your story. A micro wedding gives us the freedom to create your Pinterest dream florals that feel intimate and immersive without needing to go into design debt to make it happen.

Take it from Jaclyn from In The Details! We recently designed florals for Jaclyn and Danny’s micro wedding in the heart of North Park, San Diego.

With just 30 guests, they were able to create an intentional and beautifully styled experience from start to finish.

For the ceremony, we built a lush deconstructed floral arch—a sculptural design that framed them perfectly as they said their vows. Afterward, the same installation was repurposed behind them at the reception, creating continuity in the design and adding depth to their photos and video. Every floral detail felt full, purposeful, and completely them.

Their single long dinner table was dripping in florals—blooms running the full length of the tablescape, mixed with pillar candles, votives, stone accents, and ceramic vessels. Guests dined surrounded by flowers. It was intimate, it was elevated, and it was unforgettable.

If you’ve been feeling the pressure of wedding budgeting*, especially in today’s economy, consider a micro wedding. Not as a compromise, but as an opportunity. It’s a chance to slow down, scale back the guest list, and go all in on the parts of your wedding that matter most to you.

And if that includes flowers (which, we hope it does!) we’d love to dream something up with you. Reach out today for your 2026 wedding flowers in San Diego and throughout Southern California!

We cant wait to hear from you.

Peace, love, and flowers friends!
