Sunset Inspired Color Palette for Gorgeous Summer Wedding Flowers at The Lodge at Torrey Pines

What color palette could be better for a Summer wedding than the warm tones of a gorgeous sunset? We took this idea and ran with it to create beautiful wedding flowers for Arianne and Ben's August wedding at The Lodge at Torrey Pines.

Arianne was initially torn between an all baby's breath wedding and incorporating color. She wanted her wedding flowers to lighten up the space at the Lodge. She was drawn to the pastel tones and big statement flowers, so we found a way to incorporate both looks into her wedding.

We paired larger blooms like roses, carnations, mums, etc. in blush, peach, coral, and pastel yellow with the daintiness of baby's breath to create this unique and ethereal color blocked deconstructed arch.

We carried the color blocking through to her ground arrangements that lined the back row of chairs and were later repurposed to in front of the band's stage.

For reception we did a mix of tall and low foam free centerpieces paired with blush taper candles to create drama in the space. We used daintier flowers like feverfew and orlaya in the low centerpieces and the bigger blooms to fill out the larger tall pieces. I love the look that mixing 2 or more centerpiece designs gives. Whether it's high and low centerpieces or floral and candle centerpieces, it really helps create more interest in the reception so everything isn't so cookie cutter.

The over all look was so beautiful, perfect for a Summer wedding! It was such a pleasure working with Arianne + Ben and I can't wait to work at The Lodge again.
